EWING, NJ – The Cabrini women's lacrosse team faced a tough task tonight, as the Cavaliers made the trek to Ewing, NJ to face No. 11 The College of New Jersey.
The Blue and White needed more than 30 minutes to mark the scoring column, as the team fell to 2-3 on the season after today's 16-2 loss.

Avery Murphy accounted for both of Cabrini's goals to go with four draw controls. Freshman
Shea Neary added five shots, four draw controls, three ground balls and two caused turnovers.

Taylor Dimmerling scooped two ground balls each.

Despite being outshot just 17-9 in the opening 30 minutes, the Cavaliers could not convert any of its chances. The Lions, meanwhile, made the most of their chances.
TCNJ ran out to an 11-0 halftime lead, scoring 10 of its goals in the opening 20 minutes of the opening stanza.
Despite the deficit, the Cavaliers found their footing in the second half.
Murphy marked the scoring column just 62 seconds into the second period, before adding her second goal midway through the stanza.
The Cavaliers outshot the Lions 11-6, committed three turnovers to six for TCNJ, and scooped seven ground balls to a pair for the home squad after the halftime break.
The Blue and White surrendered just four free position shots and committed a season-low 13 turnovers against one of the nation's top teams.
Alex Fitzpatrick led the Lions (4-1) with five goals, while Olivia Cleale paired two goals and five helpers. Miranda Chrone collected the win in the TCNJ cage after notching seven saves in 45 minutes of work.
The Cavaliers will return to Edith Robb Dixon Field on Thursday night, as they play host to Widener (2-2) at 7pm.
