ST. DAVIDS, PA - The Cabrini women's tennis team fell to the hosting Eastern University Eagles this afternoon by an 8-1 final.
The Blue and White fell behind quickly as the Eagles swept double competition, but a strong match from freshman

Miranda Smith in the no. 3 flight highlighted the Cavs play. The pair was narrowly edged by their Eagles counterparts by an 8-7 (7-4) final.
Junior
Lattana Sithara and rookie
Elizabeth Baddoo played tough in the no. 2 flight, but ultimately fell by an 8-3 final.
The Cavaliers' lone match victory came via Sithara in no. 4 singles as the junior topped Emily Stevens by a 7-6 (7-0), 6-3 final to earn the team point.

Raechel Aviles fell in no. 1 and no. 2 singles, respectively, by matching 6-0, 6-1 finals. Baddoo again battled in the no. 3 spot, but was edged 6-4, 6-3 .
Madden (6-3, 4-6, 10-7) and Smith (6-3, 2-6, 10-8) both forced tiebreakers, but were ultimately topped by the Eagles to round out the day's matches.
Following today's match, the Blue and White move to 0-4 on the season. They will aim for their first victory when they travel to Center Valley, PA to take on DeSales University on Tuesday, March 19th. Match time is slated for 3:30pm.
