CENTER VALLEY, PA - The Cabrini women's tennis team dropped a non-conference matchup against DeSales University this afternoon by a 9-0 final.
The Bulldogs got off to a fast start as they took all three flights of doubles play. Freshman
Raechel Aviles and junior
Sydney Lynch fell 8-1 in the No. 1 flight, while junior
Lattana Sithara and freshman
Elizabeth Baddoo were also topped 8-1 in flight No. 2.
Freshman
Alyssa Madden and sophomore
Miranda Smith rounded out doubles play with an 8-0 final in the No. 3 flight.
In singles play, Lynch was edged by DeSales' Amber Achenbach by a 6-1, 6-0 final in the No. 1 flight. Aviles, Sithara, Madden and freshman
Fanta Bility were all topped by matching 6-0, 6-0 scores by their Bulldog counterparts.
Baddoo won a match high four games for the Blue and White in No. 3 singles, but ultimately fell by a 6-3, 1-6 final.
Following today's action, the Cavaliers move to 0-6 overall. They will look to turn things around on Saturday, March 23rd when they travel to Langhorne, PA to take on Cairn University.
