DOVER, DE – Senior
Avery Murphy joined an elite club tonight, as the Cabrini women's lacrosse team cruised to a 22-5 victory at Wesley College.
Murphy led the Blue and White (7-7, 3-1 Atlantic East) with eight goals in the win, giving an even 200 for her career.
The senior becomes just the fifth Cavalier in program history to reach the bicentennial mark, joining
Lacie Doubet (2012-15), Erin Nollen (2007-10), Amanda Alexandrowicz (2006, 2008-10) and Kelli Romano (2001-04).
In addition to her eight goals, Murphy also tallied an assist, six draw controls, three ground balls and three caused turnovers.

Ashley Tutzauer paired two goals with a career best six assists, while freshman
Dana Carlson found the back of the net five times. Freshman
Shea Neary added a trio of helpers, three caused turnovers, four draw controls and five ground balls.

The action got off to a hot start, as both teams combined for two goals in the game's first three minutes. Murphy controlled the ensuing draw and headed straight to the Wesley goal, scoring her second marker of the game.
The senior's goal sparked Cabrini on a run of seven unanswered tallies over the next 6:27, including four consecutive Murphy goals.
Wesley briefly interrupted the scoring run at the 19:56 mark, but Cabrini recorded the final seven goals of the period, building an insurmountable 17-3 lead at the half.
The Blue and White's offense was a model of efficiency tonight, as the team scored its 22 goals on just 32 shots, including 26 shots on goal. The team also converted three of its four free position shots.
Kalia Hindt and Paige Brehm combined to score all four Wolverines' (5-6, 0-3 Atlantic East) goals and control seven draws, while goaltender Maria Rowland notched four saves.
The Cavaliers will return to action next Wednesday, when they make the trip to Alexandria, VA to face Marymount University (10-5, 3-1 Atlantic East). The opening draw is slated for 4pm.
