RADNOR, PA – The No. 7 Cabrini men's lacrosse team clinched the number one seed in the upcoming Atlantic East Conference tournament with today's 21-6 victory over Marymount University at Edith Robb Dixon Field.
The Cavaliers' sixth consecutive victory improved the team to 13-2 overall and 5-0 in league play, while extending their NCAA-record conference win streak to 120.
Eleven Cavaliers marked the scoring column today, with senior
Bill Morgan and sophomore
Kyle Tucker leading the way with four goals each. Junior
Jakob Klein tallied a game-high six points on two goals and four assists.
Senior
Jordan Krug paired three goals and two helpers, and in doing so, entered the Cabrini record book. The senior's two assists gave him 100 for his career, just the fifth Cavalier to reach the century mark.

Tyler Moschella added a goal and three assists, falling just short of a career high, while sophomore
Griffin Shira matched Klein with two goals.

Eight Cavaliers scooped at least three ground balls in the win, with freshman
Jake Huey corralling five, while White and junior goaltender
Matt Nestler grabbed four each. Huey was also dominant at the faceoff spot, winning 14 of his 16 chances.
White claimed his 13th victory of the season after posting seven saves. Nestler and senior
Cassius Christie added three saves each in relief.
The Blue and White built an early lead as Krug and Tucker combined to give Cabrini a 3-0 lead with 6:25 left in the opening stanza. The Saints rallied late with two goals in the final 2:12 of the period, cutting their deficit to just 3-2.
Any doubt about the game's outcome was removed in the second quarter, as the Cavaliers posted 11 unanswered goals in the second quarter. Morgan's third marker of the day gave Cabrini an insurmountable 14-2 lead with just 31 seconds left in the quarter.
Eight Cavaliers marked the scoring column during the 15 minute period, as Cabrini outshot the visitors 25-4. The Blue and White pressured Marymount into six turnovers on clears, won 10 of the 12 faceoffs and scored on three of its four extra man opportunities and scored a man-down goal, assisted by White.
Matthew Ebert led Marymount (6-10, 4-2 Atlantic East) with two goals, while Riley Scales and Jonah Mackiewicz added a goal and an assist each. Goaltender Grey Clarkson added 15 saves and seven ground balls.
The Cavaliers will step out of conference play on Friday, as they host their annual showdown against Stevenson University (8-6). Game time is set for 7pm at Edith Robb Dixon Field.
