RADNOR, PA - The Cabrini women's tennis team took a 9-0 defeat today at the hands of the visiting Lebanon Valley College Dutchmen at the Dixon Tennis Courts.
Junior
Sydney Lynch and freshman
Raechel Aviles battled in No. 1 doubles, but were edged by an 8-2 final by LVC's Melanie Haas and Emily Wilczek.
Freshmen
Elizabeth Baddoo and junior
Lattana Sithara fell by an 8-1 final in the No. 2 flight, while freshman
Alyssa Madden and sophomore
Miranda Smith rounded out doubles play with an 8-0 final in the No. 3 slot.
The Dutchmen had their way in singles play as they took a 6-0, 6-0 decision in flights No. 5 and No. 6, while also taking No. 1 singles by a 6-0, 6-1 final.
Aviles forced a tiebreak in No. 2 singles, but was ultimately topped by an 8-6, 6-1 score. Baddoo rounded out the Cavaliers in singles play with a 6-4, 6-1 final in the No. 3 slot.
Following today's match, the Cavs move to 0-10 overall. They will look to pick up a conference victory on Saturday, April 6th when they travel to Scranton, PA to face the Marywood University Pacers. Match time is slated for 1pm.
