SCRANTON, PA - The Cabrini women's tennis team fell by a 9-0 final to the hosting Marywood University Pacers this afternoon in Scranton, PA.
Freshman
Elizabeth Baddoo and junior
Lattana Sithara highlighted the Cavs doubles action as they battled, but ultimately fell by an 8-2 final in No. 2 doubles. Freshman
Raechel Aviles and junior
Sydney Lynch took an 8-0 defeat in the No. 1 flight, while freshman
Alyssa Madden and sophomore
Miranda Smith also fell by an 8-0 final in flight No. 3.
Similar to her doubles play, Baddoo again played her Pacer counterpart tough in No. 3 singles as she forced a tie break, but was narrowly edged by a 6-4, 1-6, 9-11 final. Madden also put together a strong effort for the Blue and White in the No. 5 slot, but it proved to be not enough as Marywood's Devin Zombek collected a 6-4, 6-2 victory.
Following today's match, the Cavaliers move to 0-11 overall. They will look to get back on track on Monday, April 8th when they host Penn State Berks at the Dixon Tennis Courts. Match time is slated for 3:30pm.
