CENTER VALLEY, PA – Senior
Avery Murphy entered the record book tonight, as the Cabrini women's lacrosse team advanced to the semifinal round of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Tournament with tonight's 19-6 win at DeSales.
The Blue and White improved to 12-8 with its fourth consecutive victory and will face tournament host Stockton FDU-Florham in Saturday's semifinal.
Murphy led the Cavaliers with five goals on just six shots, an assist, 10 draw controls and three ground balls. The senior's six points give her 113 for the season, breaking
Liz Hoeffner's single season record of 109, set last season.
Murphy also became the third player in program history to record 300 career points, joining Kelli Romano (333 points) and
Lacie Doubet (307).

Ashley Tutzauer matched Murphy's six points, pairing four goals, two dimes two caused turnovers and three ground balls. Classmate
Taylor Dimmerling added four goals, while freshman
Dana Carlson paired two goals, three helpers and four draw controls.
Freshman
Shea Neary anchored the Cabrini defensive effort with a game-high five caused turnovers, four ground balls, two draw controls and two goals. Senior
Katie Kucia scooped a season high six ground balls, two more than junior
Mattie Porter, while both caused two turnovers.

Sam Hamalak posted another solid outing recording five saves on eight shots before senior Devon tallied two saves in relief.
Cabrini got off to a great start, as four players combined to score the game's first four goals, before DeSales' Julia Astram put the home squad on the board at the 18:22 mark. The Cavaliers responded with seven unanswered goals.
The Blue and White carried a comfortable 12-2 lead into the halftime break after outshooting the Bulldogs 30-9 in the opening 30 minutes.
The Cavaliers continued their offensive efficiency in the second half, scoring four of the first five goals of the stanza to extend the lead to 16-3 with 20 minutes to play.
While Cabrini outshot the Bulldogs 43-19 on one end of the pitch, the Cavaliers pressured DeSales into 30 turnovers and just 15 successful clears in 26 chances.
Today's win marked the eighth time in the last nine games that Cabrini has recorded at least 40 shots, while the team recorded seven free position goals for the third consecutive game.
Astram led the Bulldogs (10-8) with four goals, while Katie Stordy paired six draw controls and five ground balls.
FDU-Florham (10-8) secured its spot in Saturday's semifinal round with an opening round bye. Saturday's first semifinal will pit Drew (15-4), who defeated Neumann 23-10 against Marymount (13-7), who scored a 19-5 win over Pfeiffer.
