RADNOR, PA - The Cabrini women's tennis team dropped a nonconference match this afternoon against the visiting Delaware Valley Aggies by a 9-0 final.
Senior
Sydney Lynch and sophomore
Alyssa Madden led things off in No. 1 doubles, but were ultimately topped by an 8-2 final, while sophomore
Raechel Aviles and senior
Lattana Sithara were edged 8-4 in the No. 2 slot.
Sophomore
Zanaia Brown and junior
Miranda Smith highlighted doubles play with a narrow 8-5 loss against the Aggies Miller Huertgen and Nicki Fox in the No. 3 slot.
Moving to singles action, Smith and Brown were topped 6-0, 6-0 in No. 6 and No. 5 singles, respectively, while Madden fell by a 6-0, 6-1 final in the No. 4 slot.
Sithara (6-1, 6-2) and Lynch (6-2, 6-0) won multiple games in each of their respective matches, but were outlasted by their Aggies' counterparts. Aviles won a team best five games in the No. 2 slot, but was ultimately topped by DelVal's Erin Volov, 6-2, 6-3.
Following today's match the Blue and White move to 0-2 in the Fall season. They will look to get back on track this Tuesday, September 17th when they travel to Stockton University. Match time is slated for 4pm.
