LANGHORNE, PA – The Cavaliers recorded a season-high 21 shots and forced nine corner kicks, but after 110 minutes of action, the Cabrini men's soccer team score sheet remained clean.
The Cavaliers (2-3-1) and former Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) foe Cairn University played to a scoreless draw this afternoon in their annual meeting.
Freshman
Matt Duddy accounted for six of the Blue and White's 21 shots on the day, with senior Christopher Araujo adding four, with both recording three shots on target.
Junior goaltender
Anthony Zampirri notched six saves, including one in the second overtime period to record his first shutout of the season and sixth of his career.
Six Highlanders (2-3-1) attempted multiple shots, led by Josiah Nistorenko's four and three from Brandon Hasko. Goaltender Kameron Clark anchored the Cairn defense with nine saves.
Cabrini will face another tough test on Wednesday, as it makes the short trip across Eagle Road to face Eastern University (2-3-1). The annual Battle for Eagle Road will kickoff at 4pm.
