Six Cavs Mark Scoring Column in Victory Over Ravens

RADNOR, PA - The Cabrini women's soccer team cruised to a comfortable 6-0 victory over the visiting Rosemont College Ravens on Saturday evening.

In total, six different Cavs marked the scoring column, led by senior Katelyn Gilinger and junior Maria Hagan who tallied a goal and an assist each. Senior Marissa Portelli and juniors Alex Garces, Brittany Purdy and Rachel Wood rounded out the Cavs with a goal. Seniors Diana VanSickle and Lindsey Armanini, as well as sophomore Riley Underwood dished out an assist each.

Cabrini started quickly as Hagan opened the scoring in the 6th minute off a helper from Gilinger. The pair reversed roles for the Cavs' next goal as Hagan delivered a well timed pass to Gilinger in the 11th minute to double the Cavs lead at 2-0.

Garces and Purdy would tack on two more for the Blue and White in the ensuing 10 minutes of play as they scored in the 15th and 21st minute, respectively. Portelli would put the Cavs up five in the 25th minute with her first goal of the year off a feed from Underwood. The 5-0 advantage would stand through halftime.

Wood capped the offense's big night with strike in the 85th minute off an assist from Armanini following a Cavalier corner.
