RADNOR, PA – The Cabrini men's basketball team snapped its nine game losing streak in dramatic fashion today, as the Cavaliers scored a dramatic 103-99 win over the Wesley College Wolverines.
Playing with a shortened bench, the Cavaliers got significant contributions from all eight players who saw action.

After a tight opening 10 minutes, the Wolverines used a quick 8-0 run to push their lead 42-29 with 5:50 left in the first half. Cabrini regrouped to pull back within five points with 2:31 left in the first, but another 8-0 spurt secured a double-digit lead for the visitors.
Wesley remained in control of the final seconds of the opening stanza, as a late Blassingale bucket cut the visitor's lead to 54-45 at the break.
The Wolverines immediately pushed their lead to a game-high 15 points in the opening minutes of the second half, but the Cavaliers answered with a 15-4 run. Six consecutive Brown points pulled the Blue and White to within 64-60 with 12:33 to play.
Minutes later, a Blassingale three evened the score at 69 before a Smith triple gave the Cavaliers their first lead since 2-0. Cabrini's lead was short-lived, as the Wolverines maintained their slim lead over the next several minutes.
Trailing 93-88, the Cavaliers made their final comeback with just 2:15 to play. A Smith three pointer pulled Cabrini to within two points on the Blue and White's next possession, while the Cavaliers regained the lead at 94-93 after a pair of Gans free throws with 59 seconds on the clock.
Following a defensive stop, junior
Brice Parks drained his only triple of the game. The triple proved to be the biggest bucket of the night, as it gave Cabrini a four point cushion with 33 seconds to play.
The Cavaliers iced the game from the charity stripe, where Blassingale and Brown combined to go 6-6 over the game's final seconds.
Cabrini connected on a season-high 15 three pointers and 34 free throws, while its 47 rebounds were just two off its season high.
