RADNOR, PA - The Cabrini women's soccer team suffered its first Atlantic East Conference (AEC) loss of the season as Marywood University came away with a 3-0 road victory. With the loss, the Blue and White drop to 7-5-2 overall, 3-1 AEC.
The opening stanza featured a back and forth contest with the Marywood offense holding a slight advantage. Junior
Ashley Tutzauer was up to the task, however as the netminder tallied three of her five saves in the first 45 minutes.
Despite her efforts, the Pacers would open the scoring with a goal in the 18th minute as Riley Mulherin took a long pass Julia Rodriguez and managed to fire the ball past Tutzauer for the 1-0 lead.
Just over two minutes into the second half, Josephine Sorce extended the lead with a goal assisted by Riley Mulherin.
The Cavaliers had several opportunities in the second half as they held a 7-5 advantage in shots and had the lone corner opportunity but could not manage to break through the Pacers defense.
With under a minute to play Mulherin setup Victoria Tzitzis for a tap-in goal to make it a 3-0 final score.

Maria Hagan led the way with a team-high three shots, one on net.
The Blue and White will look to get back in the win column on Tuesday, October 26th when they host Marymont University at Edith Robb Dixon Field. Game time is slated for 7pm.
