After a sluggish first quarter in which the Blue and White shot just 25 percent from the floor and trailed 15-9, the offense began to find their footing. The Cavaliers went on a 18-4 run over a four and a half minute stretch to grab 29-24 lead, highlighted by a pair of treys from Fenstermacher and one each from Collazo and Liebtag from beyond the arc.
Muhlenberg cut the Cavs lead to just two over the final two minutes of the first half, 32-28, before going on and 11-0 run to begin the third quarter as the Mules went ahead 39-32. Both teams went toe-to-toe with each other over the final five minutes remaining in the third quarter but Cabrini was unable to narrow the deficit and went into the final frame down by seven, 47-40.
Muhlenberg opened up a double-digit lead on their first shot of the fourth quarter thanks to a Mikaela McGarvey three pointer. After trading buckets for the next four minutes, a three from Liebtag and Paolini pulled the home team back within seven points of the lead, 59-53. The Mules doubled up the Cavs, 8-4, over the final two minutes and 45 seconds of play to trot away with a 67-57 victory.
Muhlenberg's McGarvey finished the game with a team high 17 points, on 4-6 shooting from beyond the arc. Sara Peretti added 13 points and Tori Dowd had a game high six assists.
