RADNOR, PA – The Cavaliers opened the second half with a blistering 14-2 run to blow open a tight game, as the Cabrini men's basketball team scored its third consecutive win with tonight's 76-58 win over Elizabethtown.

Josh Jones added his first career double-double, pairing 12 points and a career high 11 rebounds.

Billy Warren narrowly missed double-doubles, as Byars notched nine points and 10 boards, while Warren paired nine points and nine rebounds. Freshman
Donoven Mack chipped in with 10 points, including a pair of three pointers during the second half spurt.
Neither team could gain an advantage over the first 10 minutes, as the lead changed hands five times and was tied six times in the opening stanza.
Trailing 116-15 at the 9:34 mark, the Cavaliers began to assert themselves. The home side used a quick 8-0 run to grab a lead it would not relinquish, as Jones' jumper gave Cabrini a 23-16 lead with 6:21 left before the half.
The Blue Jays would not go away, leveling the score at 23 and 26 before a pair of Byars free throws gave Cabrini a 32-28 lead at the break.
Both teams struggles to find their collective shooting touch in the opening 20 minutes. Cabrini shot just .289 from the floor, missing each of its 13 three point attempts, but connected on all 10 of its trips to the charity stripe.
Meanwhile, Elizabethtown could not take advantage, shooting just 11-32 from the floor and making just two trips to the free throw line.
The Cavaliers refocused during the halftime break and put the game away in the opening minutes of the second half.
The Blue Jays scored the first basket of the second half, then went scoreless over the next four minutes, while Cabrini connected on its first five field goal attempts of the half to build a 46-30 lead at the 16:13 mark after a Mack steal and fast break lay-up by junior
Christian Lane.
The Cavaliers never allowed Elizabethtown to get back in the game, as the lead swung between 15-20 throughout the second half.
Cabrini dominated the painted area, outrebounding the visitors 54-40, including 20 offensive boards leading to 20 second chance points. The Cavaliers also outscored the Blue Jays 44-28 in the lane.
Senior Jalin Robinson led the Blue Jays with 14 points, while senior Aidan Trynosky and sophomore Tyreke Herbert added nine points each.
Cabrini will put its three game win streak on the line on Thursday, as it hosts Eastern University in the annual Battle for Eagle Road. Tipoff is scheduled for 7pm inside Nerney Field House.
