SCRANTON, PA - The Cabrini men's tennis team added to their win total this afternoon following a decisive 7-0 victory over the hosting Marywood University Pacers.
The Blue and White swept through doubles action thanks to an 8-1 victory by sophomore
Mason Bennetch and senior
Ben Mead in the No. 1 slot, while seniors
Dalton Roberto and
Max Schneider earned an 8-3 victory in the No. 2 flight.
Mead topped Marywood's Eddie McGreevy in No. 1 singles by a 6-4, 6-1 decision, while Bennetch cruised to a 6-0, 6-2 decision over Stefano Varela-Seri in the No. 2 slot. Schneider also faced little resistance in No. 3 singles as he topped his opposition by a 6-1, 6-1 final. Roberto capped the Cavs' singles action in style as he won an exciting match in the No. 4 slot after forcing the tiebreaker, ultimately winning by a 1-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-7) decision.
The Blue and White will look to stay hot and run their win streak to three when they next host Neumann University on Wednesday, April 21. Match time is slated for 3:30pm.
