RADNOR, PA – The Cabrini women's lacrosse team made history today at Edith Robb Dixon Field, as the Cavaliers topped the Marymount Saints 21-11 to win the 2021 Atlantic East Conference championship.
The win marks the ninth consecutive conference title for the Blue and White and the 19th in program history. Cabrini's eight consecutive victory improved the club to 8-2 on the season.
The win also makes the Cavaliers the first program in the short history of the Atlantic East Conference to earn an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament. Cabrini will learn its NCAA Tournament fate on Monday, when the tournament selection show is broadcast at 10:30am on
NCAA.com.

Olivia Little earned Most Valuable Player honors after posting a career high 11 points on four goals and seven assists to go with 13 draw controls.
Classmate
Dana Carlson added another spark to the Blue and White attack, posting eight goals on 11 shots, four ground balls, two caused turnovers and two draw controls.
Freshman
Victoria Zielke chipped in with a career best four goals, while fellow rookie
Olivia Pace added two markers.
Early in today's contest, junior
Taylor Dimmerling entered the program's record book, tallying her 100th career goal.
The Cavaliers took control in the first half with a dominant performance in the draw circle, where it won the first 10 draws of the game and 17 of 21 draws in the first half. Sophomore
Shea Neary added eight draw controls to Little's 13, while Dimmerling matched Carlson with two each.

Sam Hamalak anchored the defensive effort with five saves, while junior
Ashley Tutzauer matched a season high with three caused turnovers.
Little put the Blue and White on the board in the game's opening minute, but the Saints battled back with back to back goals on their opening two possessions. The Saints' lead lasted just 49 seconds, as Dimmerling tied the score with her 100th career marker.
Cabrini played make-it-take-it with the Saints, as the Blue and White scored 10 unanswered goals, while keeping the ball away from the visitors for long stretches.
After 30 minutes of action, the Cavaliers were in full control of the game, holding a commanding 16-4 advantage after outshooting Marymount 29-7.
Sophomore Riley Love led Marymount (7-3) with five goals and a helper, while junior Sarah Agrillo added four assists. Classmate Mariel Russ notched eight saves in the Saints' cage.
