RADNOR, PA – The Cabrini men's soccer team rallied in the final 15 minutes of today's home opener to score a 2-1 victory over the Haverford College Fords at Edith Robb Dixon Field.
The victory snapped a four match losing streak to the Fords and marked the Blue and White's first season-opening victory since a 2-1 overtime win at King's in 2016.
Haverford opened the scoring in the 15
th minute, when junior Ben Ward's service found sophomore Alex Millones of the first goal of the season.
The visitors limited the Cavaliers' scoring changes in the opening 45 minutes, as Cabrini recorded just two shots with only one on target.
The home side turned up its pressure in the second stanza, outshooting the Fords 10-5 and recording five corner kicks to just three for the visitors.

The Fords looked to even the score in the 81
st minute, but junior Paul-Andre Coulibaly's shot was thwarted by sophomore goaltender
MJ Graham for the final of his three saves on the night.
Cabrini grabbed the lead just seven minutes later, when senior
Josh Cunningham's attempt on goal was saved by Haverford's sophomore goaltender Dylan Ioffreda. The loose ball fell to LoBiondo, who deposited the ball into the back of the net for his first career tally.
Cabrini finished the game with 12 total shots, including seven on target, while the visitors recorded nine. Cabrini also held a slim advantage in corner kicks with seven to five for the Fords.
The Cavaliers will hit the road this weekend, as they will travel to Doylestown, PA to face Delaware Valley University. Kickoff is slated for 1pm.
