RADNOR, PA – The Cabrini University men's soccer team dropped their second consecutive game, after suffering a 2-0 loss to Cairn University today at Edith Robb Dixon Field.
The loss drops the Blue and White to 4-3-1 on the season after starting the season 4-0, while the Highlanders improved to 3-2-1.
After a scoreless first half, Cairn's Brandon Hasko, assisted by Jesse Britain, capitalized on a defensive miscue 12 seconds into the second frame for the 1-0 advantage.
Britain found his way back onto the scoresheet in the 73rd minute, as he popped a ball up and over the Cabrini keeper to double the Highlanders lead, 2-0.
Cabrini recorded nine shots on the day, including six in the first half, with three on target. Widener finished the game with eight shots, four on frame.
Senior
Nick Booth accounted for a team-high three shots, one on target, while six other Cavaliers accounted for one shot apiece. Sophomore
Griff Rogers tallied two saves in the loss.
The Cavs will look to regroup before making the trip to Wilkes-Barre, PA on Saturday, when they face King's College (2-2). The opening kickoff is slated for 3pm.
