RADNOR, PA – The Cabrini women's soccer team suffered a second consecutive loss as Lebanon Valley College came away with a 1-0 victory. With the loss, the Blue and White drop to 2-4-1 overall.
The Cavs controlled play in the second half as they outshot the Flying Dutchman 7-0, two on frame, and held a 3-1 advantage in corners and 5-3 overall, but were not able to overcome a costly mistake that occurred within the first minute of regulation. LebVal's Sierra Young, assisted by Madison Carper, capitalized on a defensive miscue to put the visitors ahead, 1-0, in the first minute of play.
Cabrini finished the day with 11 shots, four on net, led by junior
Rebekah Cunningham who had a game-high four shots with one on target. Fellow junior
Kelly Kane and sophomore
Paige Bowman each attempted two shots with one each finding the frame.
Graduate student
Ashley Tutzauer finished the game with two saves for the Blue and White. On the opposite end, Jocelyn Umana made four saves for the victory and the shutout.
The Cavs will play their second match of a three game home stand on Tuesday, Sep. 28
th, as they host Lancaster Bible College under the lights. Game time is slated for 7pm.
