Cavs Cruise to 3-0 Victory Over Lancaster Bible

RADNOR, PA - The Cabrini women's soccer team claimed a decisive 3-0 victory over visiting Lancaster Bible College at Edith Robb Dixon Field.

Lightning struck three times tonight for graduate student Brianna Blair, as she led the way up front for the Cavs with her first career hat trick. Assistant Coach Brittany Runyen earned her first career victory acting in relief of Head Coach Ken Prothero.

Cabrini held a 16-2 advantage in shots taken, including a 11-0 advantage in shots on goal, and held an 8-1 advantage in corner opportunities.

Blair got the Blue and White on the board early in the game as she headed a ball into the net off of a Riley Underwood corner less than four minutes into regulation, 1-0.

On another corner opportunity in the 21st minute, it was Blair again who capitalized on a loose ball off the ensuing corner to make it 2-0 in favor of the home team.

The score would remain the same until the 78th minute when graduate student Maria Hagan found an open Blair with a stretch pass down the right side of the field, who fired a shot home from just outside of the box, 3-0.

Blair's hat trick was the first three-goal game for a Cavalier since Kaitlyn Cooper scored three in a 7-0 victory over Keystone College in 2013.

In addition to an assist on the third goal, Hagan took a career-high five shots, two on goal. Sophomore Ella Marrollo also took a career-high five shots, with three on frame.
In the victory, keeper Ashley Tutzauer recorded her second shutout of the season.

The victory improves the Cavaliers record to 3-4-1 overall as they will look to stay hot as host to Alvernia University on Thursday, September 30th. Match time is slated for 7pm.
