Ikeler Inducted into Albright Hall of Fame

READING, PA – Head swim coach Cindy Ikeler recently took her place among the greats of Albright College Athletics, as she was inducted into the Albright College Athletics Hall of Fame.

Ikeler established herself as one of the most decorated athletes in Albright Women's Swimming history during her four years in Reading. She earned Third Team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American honors in 2005, and won the David B. Eavenson Award for Most Outstanding Swimmer at MAC Championships in her freshman year of 2002.

Ikeler won a combined 20 MAC individual and relay gold medals at the championship races, and helped lead the Lions women's swimming team to three conference championship titles in 2002, 2003, and 2005.

She still holds three Albright women's swimming program records and one pool record to this date, and ranks in the program top 10 for three different events. Ikeler also once held five MAC Swimming records at one point.

Ikeler was named the Albright women's swimming team MVP twice, and earned the Albright NCAA Woman of the Year Award in 2005.

Once her collegiate career was complete, Ikeler moved to the Albright coaching staff, where she helped the Lions capture five MAC championship titles.

Ikeler joined the Cabrini family in 2012 and has continued to establish the Blue and White swim programs. During tenure, Ikeler has earned eight Coach of the Year honors and led the Cavaliers to seven conference championships.
