MADISON, N.J. – Cabrini's freshman midfielder Alyssa DeGeorge scored her second goal of the season in the 76th minute, as the Cavs (7-3) handed FDU-Florham (11-1) its first loss of the season by a 1-0 score on Saturday afternoon in women's soccer play.
DeGeorge scored her goal on an assist by junior forward Ella Marrollo as the Cavaliers and Devils had nine shots each.
Sophomore goalkeeper Caroline Hassall posted four saves on the day, posting her sixth clean sheet of the season and third in a row.
Cabrini will open Atlantic East competition on Wednesday by hosting Neumann.
