Women's Swimming wins season opener over King's

RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini University women's swimming team won its season opener on Saturday, taking out King's, 128-42.

The Cavs won the opening 200 yard medley relay with a time of 2:04.61 as the team of sophomore Abby Windon, freshman Gia Markakis, sophomore Kate Ziegler and freshman Kylie Carney won the event.

In the 1000 free, senior Belinda Hedden took first at 12:41.81.

Markakis won the 200 free at 2:10.43, with Ferguson in third at 2:22.78.

Freshman Rory Schreiber took the 50 free at 27.54, followed by junior Jennifer Allison in second at 28.21.

Windon was third in the 200 IM at 2:29.46.

Ziegler won the 100 fly at 1:13.12, while Carney won the 100 free at 57.49. Allison was third in the 100 free at 1:03.90.

WIndon won the 100 back at 1:07.72, with Markakis in second at 1:08.50.

Schreiber was first in the 500 free at 6:01.57, with Hedden going second at 6:10.95 and senior Kenzi Eldabh in third at 7:05.54.

Ferguson was second in the 100 breast at 1:20.45, followed by freshman Grace Cassidy in third at 1:24.32.

Finally, the team of Carney, Ziegler, Schreiber and Allison won the 200 free at 1:53.88, while the team of Ferguson, Cassidy, freshman Erin Moran and Hedden was second at 2:05.39.
