RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini University women's volleyball team swept a tri-match on Saturday, pushing their record to 18-9.
In the opener, the Cavs defeated Marymount, 3-2, to secure a bye in the first-round of the Atlantic East playoffs. The Cavs were up 2-0, and had to hold off a Saints comeback to take the win.
In the nightcap, Cabrini took a 3-1 win over Alvernia.

Set scores in the AEC clash were 25-22, 25-16, 20-25, 22-25 and 15-10. There were 38 ties and 19 lead changes across the five-set thriller, with 17 of the ties and 12 of the lead changes coming in the first set.
Offensively, graduate outside hitter Hannah Dalton and sophomore outside hitter Sam Heenan had 16 kills each, with junior middle blocker Lily Baynum netting ten.
Dalton and graduate libero Gina Custer each had two aces.
Senior Victoria Camacho and Baynum had three blocks. Senior setter Melanie Cotes-Rivera had 24 assists with graduate setter Lexi Conte netting 19.
Custer had 17 digs – including her 2,000 career digs – the first Cabrini volleyball player to cross the 2,000 dig mark.
Cabrini 3, Alvernia 1
Set scores in the nightcap were 25-14, 23-25, 25-16, 27-25.
Dalton had 29 kills in the nightcap with Heenan getting 17. Conte had three aces, with Baynum getting a block.
Conte had 23 assists with Cotes-Rivera getting 21.
Custer picked up 41 digs.
Cabrini hit .344 in the match with Alvernia (68-16-151).
