LEESBURG, Va. – The Cabrini University women's cross country team will participate in the 2022 Atlantic East Championships on Saturday, at Morven State Park. The women are scheduled to go off at 11 a.m.
In the pre-championship poll conducted by the coaches, the Cavs were picked to finish fifth with 15 points and one first-place vote. Marywood, who has won the last four Atlantic East titles, was picked first with 35 points and five first-place votes.
A total of four runners will participate for Cabrini: Sophomore Sam Frederick, junior Chloe Griffiths, sophomore Adri Pietrewicz and sophomore Holly Smith.
Frederick finished 12th last season, earning All-Conference honors, Smith was 26th while Griffiths was 32nd.
Frederick's top time this season was 26:01.2 at the Philadelphia Metro Meet on September 10. Smith ran a 32:24.4 at the Griffins Open back on September 1.
