LANCASTER, Pa. – The Cabrini University men's basketball team dropped their second game in a row as the Cavaliers fell to Lancaster Bible 87-76 on the road Thursday night.
The Cavaliers (3-6) got out of the gate slowly as Cabrini faced a 21-10 deficit five minutes into the contest. A
Christian Lane layup made it a seven-point game, 23-16 LBC, but a 19-11 run from the Chargers made it a 15-point game at the break.
In the second half, the Chargers (4-3) continued to keep a stranglehold on the game as LBC eventually took a 27-point lead with 12:25 left in regulation. With 7:53 left, freshman
Emannuel Mosely hit a 3-point jumper to cut the deficit to 71-54 and began a 22-16 Cabrini run to finish out regulation. Despite outscoring the Chargers in the second half, Cabrini could not overcome the first half deficit and dropped its second straight ball game.
Ahmadu Sarnor and
Aquil Stewart each tallied double figures as Sarnor led all Cabrini scorers with 17 points while Stewart put up 11.
The Cavaliers will be back in action on Dec. 19 as Cabrini takes on Goucher College back at Nerney Field House. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.
