RADNOR, PA - The Cabrini University women's basketball team couldn't rebound following a cold start as they dropped their final non-conference matchup of the season to Salisbury University by a 75-40 final.
With the defeat the Blue and White drop to 10-12 on the season.
The Cavs were led offensively by juniors
Syd Kesselman and
Leila Collazo who totaled seven points apiece. Kesselman also led the team with seven boards, four of which came on the offensive glass.
Senior
Hannah Fenstermacher, sophomore
Katie Rodriguez and freshman
Giana Rullo each chipped in five points.
As mentioned, a slow start plagued the Cavs against the Sea Gulls as they shot just 23 percent in the opening quarter, leading to a 16 point deficit following the opening 10 minutes of play. Conversely, Salisbury converted on 69 percent of their first quarter attempts en route to a 40-20 lead at the half. The Sea Gulls' Kaylee Otlowski led all scorers with 13 points at the break.
The offensive woes continued for the Blue and White into the second half as they totaled 20 points across the final 20 minutes of play as the Sea Gulls flew away with the aforementioned 75-40 victory.
The Blue and White will look to rebound on Monday as they square off against AEC rival Neumann University. Game time is slated for 6:30PM.
