RADNOR, PA – The Cabrini women's lacrosse team could not overcome seven free position goals for the visiting Stevens Ducks, as the Cavaliers fell to 2-5 on the season after today's 22-13 loss at Edith Robb Dixon Field.

Dana Carlson led the Blue and White with six points on two goals and four assists to go with three draw controls. The senior now stands just three points shy of becoming the 12th player in program history to record 200 career points.

Ashley Tutzauer netted a season high three goals, a career best seven draw controls and two caused turnovers.

The Blue and White grabbed an early lead, as Zielke and Carlson staked the home side with a 2-0 lead led than four minutes into the action. The Ducks responded immediately with two markers over the next 45 seconds.
Murphy found the back of the net at the 8:30 mark to put the Cavaliers back ahead, but it would be the club's last advantage of the day. Stevens rattled off the next nine goals to build a commanding 11-3 lead with 3:11 left in the second quarter.
Despite outshooting the Ducks 22-19 and leading the turnover battled 12-8 in the opening 30 minutes, the Cavaliers headed into the halftime break trailing 12-5.
The Blue and White looked to make a move in the early minutes of the third quarter, as Pace, Zielke and Gallagher scored in the opening six minutes of the period to pull the Cavaliers to within 12-8.
However, the Cavaliers could not slow the Ducks' attack, as Stevens responded with the game's next three goals, rebuilding its seven goal cushion.
Cabrini looked to grab some momentum in the final minutes of the third, as Little and Tutzauer scored a pair of goals separated by just nine seconds, cutting Stevens' lead to 15-10 after 45 minutes.
Any hopes of a comeback were dashed in the early minutes of the fourth quarter, as the Ducks recorded four goals in a span of 2:32.
Ove the game's 60 minutes, the Cavaliers outshot the Ducks 35-31 and recorded just 16 turnovers to 21 for the visitors, but Stevens converted seven of its 11 free position shots and controlled 24 of the day's draws to just 15 for the Blue and White.
Senior Camryn Rogers led the Ducks with eight goals and 10 draw controls, junior Zoe Cook added six goals. Senior goaltender Lauren Cunniff posted 11 saves and five ground balls to secure the victory.
The Cavaliers will look to change their fortunes on Tuesday, March 29, when they play host to Stockton University. The opening draw is scheduled for 7pm at Edith Robb Dixon Field.
