EWING, NJ – After a week away from action, the Cabrini softball team struggled to find its collective footing today, as the Cavaliers suffered a pair of losses at TCNJ. The Blue and White fell to 8-6 on the season after today's 9-2 and 8-0 losses.

Game i: TCNJ 9, Cabrini 1 (6 innings)
The Lions threatened to open the scoring in the bottom of the first, taking advantage of three walks and a catcher's interference call, but senior catcher
Kaitlyn Martin caught a would be base stealer then found junior pitcher
Avery Byrnes to throw a runner out trying to steal home.
The Cavaliers carried their defensive momentum into the top of the second, loading the bases with two outs before sophomore
Emma Barbera's single to left scored senior
Emily Wargo.
The Blue and White did not get much time to enjoy its lead, as the home team responded with four runs in the bottom of the frame. TCNJ took advantage three walks, an error and hit by pitch and needed just two base knocks to gain control of the action.

Sophomore
Madison Gugel and senior
Allison Martin joined Barbera and Wargo with base hits, while Byrnes surrendered seven earned runs on nine hits in the loss.
Game 2: TCNJ 8, Cabrini 0

The Blue and White could never mount a really scoring threat, as just two made their way to second base, with neither advancing to third.
Sophomore
Ariana Mirenda accounted for two of Cabrini's four hits in the loss, with Gugel and freshman
Dorian Ilyes adding the other two. Freshman
Sammi Sisolak suffered the loss, allowing six earned runs on nine hits.
