CARLISLE, PA – The Cabrini men's lacrosse team nearly erased a five goal deficit with a fourth quarter comeback, but the Cavaliers fell short, suffering a 9-7 loss at No. 16 Dickinson.
Trailing 8-3 with 10 minutes to play, the Blue and White made its comeback. Sophomore
Max Drift netted a man-up goal at the 9:33 mark and added his second of the day less than two minutes later.

Mikey Vanaman, pulling the Cavaliers to within three goals.
Cabrini pulled closer still, as another Huey faceoff win led to Vanaman's second goal just 38 seconds later.
The Cavaliers recorded four shots over the final 4:33, with three on target, but could not get past Dickinson netminder Chris Brandeau, who notched three of his 14 saves in the final 2:33.
Sophomore
Tommy Vaughan joined Drift and Vanaman with two goals in the loss, while junior
Dillon McManus tallied a pair of assists.
Huey went 12-20 at the faceoff spot and joined McManus and graduate student
Jake Goss with three ground balls, while Trizonis scooped a career high six and
Peter Hewitt four.

Matt Nestler recorded 15 saves to anchor the defense in the loss, with Trizonis and freshman
Jake Schneider adding two caused turnovers to the effort.
Despite outshooting Dickinson 19-15 in the opening 30 minutes, the Blue and White offense could not solve the Red Devils' defense with Vaughan's first goal midway through the first quarter marking Cabrini's only tally through the first and second quarters.
The home team took advantage, building a 3-1 halftime lead. Dickinson's lead swelled in the third, as the Red Devils scored two goals early in the period to take a 6-1 lead.
Vaughan's second marker snapped Dickinson's run of five unanswered goals, but the home side added a goal late in the quarter to carry a 7-2 lead into the final period.
Schneider marked the scoring column just over 90 seconds in the final frame, but Dickinson regained its five goal cushion with 10:51 left in the game.
Skyler Schluter and Matt Thurston posted three goals and an assist each, while Brandeau added a game-high eight ground balls to his 14 saves.
The road gets no easier for the Cavaliers, as No. 17 SUNY Cortland will come calling on Friday, The opening faceoff is slated for 5p at Edith Robb Dixon Field
