READING, PA – The Cabrini men's tennis team fell short in its bid to secure its first win of the season, as the Cavaliers suffered a 7-2 loss at Penn State Berks this afternoon.
The Blue and White's No. 1 doubles pair of seniors
Max Schneider and
Ryan Calderaro tallied the club's lone doubles point, scoring a 9-7 victory.
Trailing 2-1 heading into singles action, Cabrini could not turn the tables on the Nittany Lions.
Despite tight losses for Schneider (8-7) and Calderaro (8-6) at Nos. 1 and 2 singles, respectively, the Blue and White should only muster one singles victory, as senior
Jonathan Papp scored an 8-4 win in the number three flight.
The Cavaliers have little time to reflect on today's defeat, as they will welcome Penn State Bran-dywine to the Dixon Tennis Courts on Saturday. First serve is slated for 1pm.
