SCRANTON, PA – The Cavaliers found the back of the net early and often, as the Cabrini women's lacrosse team built an insurmountable halftime lead en route to a 19-6 win at Marywood University.
With today's result, the Blue and White has now won three in a row and five of its last six outings to improve to 3-0 in conference play. During the stretch, the Cavaliers have scored at least 16 goals in each contest and averaged 20 goals per game.
Cabrini wasted no time on grabbing a lead, as senior
Dana Carlson netted the first of her four goals just 100 seconds in to the game. Classmate
Shea Neary doubled the advantage less than a minute later. The lead swelled to 6-0 on freshman
Morgan McClintock's goal with 5:34 left in the stanza.
The Blue and White closed the first quarter with a flurry, as graduate
Ashley Tutzauer, McClintock and Neary combined to score four goals in a 91 second span to take a 10-0 lead after 15 minutes of action.
The quarter break did nothing to slow the Cabrini attack, as Carlson and McClintock pushed the lead to 13-0 midway through the second quarter. Following an
Olivia Little marker, the Cavaliers again, closed a period with a flurry.

Olivia Pace added to the scoresheet in the final 4:33 of the second quarter, sending the teams into the halftime break with Cabrini leading 17-0.
Cabrini built its cushion on the strength of an efficient offensive display, recording its 17 goals on just 28 first half shots, including 23 attempts on target. The Cavaliers also won 16 of the 18 draw controls in the first half.
Tutzauer entered the program record book in the fourth quarter, recording her 100th career goal, the third player on this year's quad to reach the century mark.
Carlson led way with eight points on the day, matching a career best with four assists, to go with four draw controls. Tutzauer recorded five goals for the second consecutive goals, while Little added six draw controls and three ground balls to her four points.
McClintock notched her second career hat trick and secured three ground balls. Neary scored twice and matched Little with six draw controls, while Pace and Starner notched two goals each. Senior

Marissa Mullan pairing three caused turnovers and three ground balls.
All three of Cabrini's goaltenders saw significant action in today's win, with senior
Sam Hamalak securing the victory with 22 minutes of work. Freshman
Abbey Fenton recorded the club's four saves, while junior
Jessica Whalen commanded the crease in the fourth quarter.
Emma Solomon led the Pacers with a goal and three assists, while goaltender Emily Dyminsky posted nine saves in the loss.
The Cavaliers will enjoy the Eastern holiday before returning to action next Wednesday with a visit from the Neumann Knights. The opening draw is slated for 4pm at Edith Robb Dixon Field.
