RADNOR, PA – The Cabrini women's lacrosse team celebrated its eight seniors with a resounding 19-2 victory over the Neumann University Knights today at Edith Robb Dixon Field.
With the Blue and White's fourth consecutive conference victory, the club is primed to secure the top seed and home field advantage in the upcoming Atlantic East Tournament. The Cavaliers will close their league slate on Saturday with a trip to Gwyedd Mercy.
Cabrini celebrated its seniors,
Dana Carlson,
Morgan Fazzini,
Sam Hamalak,
Olivia Little,
Shea Neary,
Lindsey Pozaic,
Kelly Sweeney and
Victoria Zielke with an overwhelming effort.
Carlson and Little led the charge with four goals each, with Carlson scooping three ground balls and Little securing six draw controls.
Neary chipped in with a goal, an assist and three draw controls, while Zielke marked the coring column twice. Hamalak secured the victory, despite not being called on to make a save in 30 minutes of action.
The Cavaliers jumped ahead in the opening minutes, as graduate student
Ashley Tutzauer netted the first of her three goals less than two minutes into the game. Little added a pair of markers before sophomore
Olivia Pace converted a free position shot to make the score 4-0 at the 8:41 mark.

Morgan McClintock added first period goals, as the Cavaliers built a 10-0 lead in the final minute of the opening stanza after outshooting the Knights 18-1.
The Blue and White outshot the visitors 42-9 on the day, with 13 Cavaliers attempting at least one shot. Cabrini also scooped 31 ground balls to just 13 for the Knights, with Tutzauer and Fazzini securing four each, one more than freshmen
Neve Murphy and
Sarah Fava.
While the Cavaliers' offense hit on all cylinders, Cabrini's defensive effort never allowed Neumann to find any rhythm, pressuring the visitors into 24 turnovers and holding them to a season-low nine shots.
Today's victory marked a fitting final regular season appearance for a class that has led the program to 32 wins, including a 15-1 mark in conference games, two Atlantic East titles and the 2019 ECAC crown, the first in program history.
The have accumulated 542 point son 376 goals and 166 assists, 438 ground balls, 475 draw controls, 203 caused turnovers and 328 saves in their 291 appearances in the Blue and White.
The Cavaliers will look to complete another perfect conference slate on Saturday, when they visit Gwynedd Mercy. Game time is set for 12pm in Gwynedd Valley, Pa.
