RADNOR, PA - The Cabrini University women's tennis team won their first Atlantic East Conference match of the season thanks to a 5-4 victory on senior day over Neumann University.
The Cavaliers pairing of junior
Fanta Bility and junior
Caroline Boileau earned the teams first point in doubles play with a strong 8-2 victory in the No. 3 flight.
The Knights picked up a pair of wins in No. 1 and No. 3 singles, but for the most part, it was all Cabrini in singles play. Senior
Natalie Bell got things started for the Blue and White with a 6-3, 6-4 win in No. 2 singles.
The Cavs earned victory in their final three singles matches as sophomore
Kara Bradl (6-2, 6-2), junior
Fanta Bility (6-0, 6-0) and senior
Caroline Boileau (6-4, 6-1) earned points in flight No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6, respectively
Prior to the start of the match the team celebrated the acomplishments of seniors,
Raechel Aviles, Bell and Boileau.
With the victory Cabrini improves to 4-6 overall and 1-2 in AEC play. The Cavs will have a quick turnaround as they travel to Scanton, PA tomorrow, April 21st to face the Marywood University Pacers. Match time is slated for 3:30pm.
