CARLISLE, PA - The Cabrini University men's tennis team wrapped up its regular season tonight following an 9-0 non-conference loss at Dickinson College.
The Blue and White battled across doubles play, highlighted by an 8-1 defeat in the No. 1 flight featuring freshman
Modest Donacien and
Max Schneider. Seniors
Ryan Calderaro and Johnathan Papp fell by an 8-0 final in the No. 2 slot, while junior
Tien Tran and freshman
Trung Tran were topped 8-0 in the No. 3 flight.
Schneider led things off for the Cavs in singles play, but ultimately fell by a 6-1, 6-2 final, while Donacien fell by a 6-0, 6-1 final in the No. 2 slot.
Calderaro matched Schneider's final as he was also edged by a 6-2, 6-1 score, while Papp was topped 6-1, 6-0 in the No. 4 flight.
Tien won his first set of the day versus his Red Devils' counterpart but was eventually retired after a 10-2 tiebreaker in No. 5 singles.
Following today's match the Cavs conclude their 2021-22 season with an overall record of 2-8 and a 2-3 mark in Atlantic East Conference play.
The Cavaliers will travel to Marymount University for a rematch with the Saints this Wednesday, April 25
th, in round one of the Atlantic East Conference Tournament. The match is set to begin at 1PM.
