RADNOR, Pa. – Playing their first of four matches over the next three days, the Cabrini University women's volleyball team got off on the right foot as the Cavs (8-7) defeated Rutgers-Camden (6-8) 3-0 on Thursday night.
Set scores were 25-13, 25-20 and 25-15.
Graduate outside hitter Hannah Dalton had 13 kills on the night, as she had a .500 attack percentage (13-1-24), with sophomore outside hitter Sam Heenan netting 11 kills. Junior middle blocker Lily Baynum had eight kills on 13 attempts without an error (.615), as the Cavs hit .232 as a team with 42 kills on the night.
Senior setter Melanie Cotes-Rivera had 21 assists, with graduate libero Gina Custer netting five aces out out of ten on the evening. Dalton had four aces.
Defensively, Custer had 13 digs with Heenan getting seven.
Cabrini heads to F&M on Friday night, before traveling to Ursinus for a tri-match with the Bears and Washington College.
