SCRANTON, Pa. – The Cabrini University women's basketball team held Marywood to just 14 points in the first half as the Cavs (6-10, 2-1 Atlantic East) won their third straight win a 71-45 victory over the Pacers (11-5, 1-3 AEC) Saturday afternoon.
Brielle Fitzpatrick had a team-high 17 points on 5-for-8 shooting including a near perfect 7-for-8 performance from the foul line. Abby Paolini had 12 points on 4-for-8 shooting from the three point line.
Miranda Liebtag netted eight points as did Emma Brown.
Marywood was led by Olivia Ciullo who had a game-high 21 points.
Cabrini led after one quarter 22-9, as the Cavs went 9-for-19 from the field to just 26.7 percent (4-for-15) from Marywood. The Pacers scored just five points in the second quarter, while Cabrini netted only 11.
The Cavs made 71.4 percent of their shots in the fourth quarter to pull away.
Liebtag, Katie Rodriguez and Giana Rullo each had seven rebounds on the day, while Rodriguez had four assists and three blocks.
Cabrini will host Centenary on Wednesday.
