Radnor, PA - In the last Men's Basketball meeting between the Eagle Road rivals, Eastern University prevailed over Cabrini University on Wednesday night.

The competitive affair saw nine ties and twelve lead changes before Eastern pulled away in the final minutes of play.

Cabrini moved the ball well for extended stretches of the game, leading to 7 first half threes on 14 attempts. The Cavaliers shot 15 of 31 from the floor and converted 8 of 9 free throws in the opening period. Just before halftime, Donoven Mack made a putback layup and knocked down back to back threes to create a six point lead the Cavs carried into the break. 

Despite dipping from their first half efficiency, Cabrini battled with Eastern's fast paced scoring attack. A Bryan Warren floater helped the Cavaliers reclaim their advantage, as did a George Marion layup ninety second later. Cabrini battled back with six minutes to go, as a Bryan Warren steal led to a Donoven Mack triple that cut the deficit to 1. From there, Eastern's depth and athleticism wore down the Cavs enough for the Eagles to mount a double digit lead at the two minute mark.

The Eagles proved to have a bit more juice, as they out-rebounded the Cavaliers 31 to 11 in the second frame. Eastern enjoyed 24 points in the paint, 9 second chance points, and 13 fast break points in the final 20 minutes of the contest.
