Radnor, PA - On Wednesday evening, Cabrini Field Hockey capped off an eventful final season with a 1-0 victory over the Pride of Widener University.
Cabrini was in the drivers' seat for much of the game, outshooting Widener 16-2 and earning an 11-4 edge on penalty corners.
Cabrini's eventual break came in the 40th minute. As
Julia Malle played a foul in, she advanced the ball by finding
Caroline Gallagher ahead. Gallagher then made a defender miss, freeing up just enough space for an entry pass to
Adrianna Jones in the circle. Jones used one touch to receive, and one more to punch her shot into the right side of the cage.
Despite getting tagged with a green and a yellow card late in the contest, the Cavaliers silenced the Pride's offense, allowing just one second half shot.
