WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – Day Two of the Florida trip for the Cabrini softball team saw the Cavs split a pair of games.
In the first game of the day, the Cavs fell to Adrian, 8-2. In the nightcap, the Cabrini (3-1) erupted for 14 runs in a 14-3 win in five innings over Houghton.

Cabrini trailed 2-0 heading into the bottom of the fifth, before Ariana Mirenda had a RBI ground out that scored Dorian Ilyes. Abby Tobelmann would later scored on a RBI groundout by Madison Gugel.
Adrian broke open the game with six runs in the sixth inning.
Kaitlyn Delaney had two hits in the game.
Daphne Santos took the loss, striking out three and walking three in 5.1 innings of work.
Houghton 14, Cabrini 3 (5 innings)
The Cavs had 12 hits in the win, scoring six runs in the top of the first inning and never looking back.
Sam Kilson had a grand-slam in the win, while Mirenda and Emma Barbera each had two hits. Barbera had three RBI in the win. Ten different players had hits in the victory.
Sammi Sisolak struck out six and allowed just three runs in the win.
With her two hits in game two, Mirenda collected her 100th hit of her career. She now has 55 at Cabrini, and had 45 during her time at Wesley College.
Cabrini takes on Bridgewater (Va.) and Chatham on Tuesday.
