GLASSBORO, N.J.—The Cabrini University women's lacrosse team fell to Rowan University 16-8 Wednesday afternoon on the road in a non-conference match up with the Profs. 
 
The Cavaliers (4-4) faced a 4-0 deficit before Olivia Little put Cabrini on the board at the 2:51 mark. Rowan responded with three more unanswered goals and took a 7-1 lead into the second period. The Profs opened the second with a fourth straight goal, despite goals from Little and Maggie Cella in the quarter, Rowan took a 9-3 lead into the break. 
 
The second half saw the Profs extend their lead to 11-3 by the 13:20 mark, but the two squads went goal-for-goal in the third as the Cavs answered each Profs goal with a goal of their own, and by the end of the third, Cabrini cut its deficit to eight, 13-5. Little scored twice more in the fourth, but despite the Cavs defense holding the Profs to under five goals in every quarter after the first, Cabrini could not overcome its deficit and fell 16-8. 
 
Little finished the day with four goals and one assist for five points on the day while Caroline Gallagher netted two goals for two points.
 
Despite the loss, Little tallied four draw controls and became only the fourth player in Cabrini women's lacrosse history to amass 200 career draw controls.
 
The Cavaliers return to action on Thursday, March 30 as Cabrini hosts George Fox University in a non-conference match up. First draw is set for 3:30 p.m.
