NICHOLASVILLE, KY. -- The Cabrini University men's golf team finished day one of the 2023 NCAA championship tournament tied for 41st in the 42-team field.
Dan Murphy's 82 led the Cavaliers after the first round as the senior picked up his pace on the back nine as he shot a 39.
Liam Caspar led the way on front nine as the Williamstown, N.J. native shot a 41 with five pars. Caspar's twin brother,
Liam Caspar, put up a 44 on the front nine including an eagle on the fifth hole par five. Freshman
Frankie Sass shot a 40 on the front nine to pace the opening round for the Cavs as he finished with five pars on the front.
The Cavaliers continue their 2023 NCAA championship on Wednesday, May 17 at the Keene Trace Golf Club.
