RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini University men's lacrosse team took care of business Wednesday evening as the Cavaliers topped Immaculata University 23-4 in the Atlantic East Conference semifinal game on Edith Robb Dixon Field.

Dillon McManus and freshman
Connor Herraiz combined for 11 of the Cavaliers 23 goals Wednesday night as McManus tied his season-high with six while Herraiz matched his with five, his third straight game with five goals. McManus opened the night's scoring barrage for the Cavs at the 13:56 mark and quickly followed with his second goal just thirty seconds later. The duo scored three times each in the first period as Cabrini took a 9-0 lead into the second. The Cavs scored twice more before the Mighty Macs found the back of the net as Cabrini took a 13-2 lead into the break.
Immaculata opened the third period with a quick goal of its own from David Azzarano, but the Cavs rattled off four more before Azzarano scored the fourth and final Mighty Macs goal at the 4:11 mark.
Tommy Vaughan and
Matt Vanaman answered with back-to-back goals and took a 19-4 lead into the fourth. The 15-goal lead eventually turned into a 19-goal lead and the Cavaliers rolled past the Mighty Macs 23-4.
The Cavs racked up 43 points on the day as McManus led the way with nine while Herraiz and
Austin Bolton each had five. Herraiz extended his assists streak to 17 games in a row to start his career.
The Cavaliers will host Marymount University in the 2023 AEC Championship on Saturday, May 6. Opening faceoff is set for 1 p.m.
