Bryn Mawr, PA – On Friday afternoon, the Cavaliers made the short trip to face Bryn Mawr in their eventual season opener.

A strong performance from Cabrini's back line preserved the clean sheet.

In the 14th minute, Bryn Mawr's attack put pressure on the Cavs. Two Owl corner kicks would lead to an early Caroline Hassall save and a defensive save from Rebekah Cunningham. Hassall would finish the evening with five saves.

After failing to record a shot in the opening period, Cabrini gained some rhythm after the break, tallying six second half shots. A 52nd minute penalty save and a defensive save off the rebound kept the Cavs from finding the back of the net. Forward Paige Bowman and defensive back Amanda Elwell each recorded two shots in the contest, including a late strike from Elwell that hit the crossbar.
