Gwynedd Valley, PA - The Cabrini University Men's Basketball team got off to a hot start on Saturday afternoon, as the scoreboard favored Cabrini 11-2 seven minutes into their second matchup with the Griffins of Gwynedd Mercy University. The Cavaliers maintained a 9-point lead through the twelve minute mark in the first half, but their early advantage waned as the Griffins took a 1-point lead with 7:32 left in the opening stanza and brought the same lead into the break.
The contest remained up for grabs midway through the second half before Gwynedd Mercy began to take the game out of reach. During that stretch, the Cavaliers' offense was dormant for five minutes as the Griffins created the double-digit cushion that fed GMU's 75-64 victory.
