WINCHESTER, Va. - On Friday morning, the Cabrini University baseball team defeated Gwynedd Mercy University to prevent elimination in the Atlantic East Conference Tournament.
Zack Brook recorded a complete game shutout as the Cavaliers crossed the plate 13 times. Cabrini will advance to face the loser of a 12:30 game between Marymount and Immaculata. Expected start time for this afternoon's contest is for 4pm.

How it Happened
- The top of the Cavaliers' order Dustin Sutton, Jaden Dickerson, and Ryan Dipper combined for 9 hits that drove in all but two of the Cavaliers' 13 runs. In addition to Sutton and Dickerson with 4 runs and 3 runs respectively, Kai Cummings and Garrett Laraia each crossed the plate twice.
- Cabrini gave Zack Brook plenty of run support as the right-handed pitcher and outfielder tossed a complete game shutout. Brook struck out seven batters across nine innings, allowing 7 hits and 3 walks to the Griffins' lineup.
