How it Happened
- Kai Cummings took the hill for Cabrini, surrendering a single run across his six inning start. He'd pitch five innings scoreless, retiring Immaculata in order in the second inning and seeing four batters in the third and fourth.
- Following a solo home run that put Immaculata on the board in the sixth, Cabrini evened the score an inning later. Jaden Dickerson led off the bottom of the seventh with a walk and advanced to second on a groundout from Zack Brook. Colton Narciso singled to third base, drawing an erroneous throw that escaped the infield, allowing Dickerson to cross the plate and knot the game 1-1.
- Hunter Kraiza threw two scoreless innings, as he'd force a double play to end the top of the seventh and pitched a 1-2-3 eighth inning.
- In the bottom of the eighth, a single from Jacob Roberts, a hit by pitch to Garrett Laraia, and a Dustin Sutton single loaded the bases for Jaden Dickerson. With Immaculata's infield playing at regular depth, Dickerson chopped a ball to the left side, hitting into a 6-5 fielder's choice that scored the go-ahead run.
- The Cavaliers then turned to Josh Colon, who closed the door with a 2 strikeout, three up, three down ninth inning.
