Therese Doyle is in her sixth year as an assistant field hockey coach in 2018-19.

Doyle joined the Cavaliers after a decorated playing career at St. Joseph’s University.  A three-year starter, Doyle was named the team’s Most Improved Player as a junior before earning the team’s Offensive Co-Player of the Year as a senior.  

The Merion Mercy alum totaled 18 points on seven goals and four assists during her senior season, which culminated in an All-Atlantic 10 First Team nod.  Doyle was also credited with the game winning goal in overtime over Villanova, giving the Hawks their first win at their new home, Ellen Ryan Field.

Doyle was also a stand-out in the classroom, consistently being named to the Atlantic 10 Honor Roll, the St. Joseph’s University Honor Roll, the Dean’s List and a member of the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division I National Academic Squad.  Doyle was also a member of Sigma Tau Delta, the national English Honor Society.

The Havertown, Pa. native has been coaching field hockey the Viper Field Hockey Club since 2011.  She also spent the 2012 season as an assistant varsity coach at William Penn Charter School in Philadelphia.

Doyle completed her English degree at St. Joseph’s in 2012, before completing her master's degree in 2016.
