Kyle Garzia begins his third season as an assistant coach with the Cabrini men's lacrosse program in 2012-13. Garzia brings nine years of coaching experience at the high school and club levels to the Cavaliers.
Garzia spent the last six seasons as boys' lacrosse head coach at Sun Valley High School. Garzia was named Del-Val League Coach of the Year in 2008 and led the Vanguards to the PIAA District I playoffs in 2009.
During his head coaching tenure at Sun Valley, Garzia mentored 13 players to first-team all-league honors. Under Garzia's tutelage, 20 players claimed second-team or honorable mention distinction.
Prior to assuming the head coaching responsibilities at Sun Valley, Garzia served two seasons (2002-03) as the program's assistant coach. He also spent one season as an assistant coach at Strath Haven High School in 2004.
Garzia has also had his hand in coaching at the club level, leading Team Philadelphia for the Philadelphia Youth Lacrosse All-Stars organization since 2006. He has also coached the Delaware County team in the Keystone Games, beginning in 2007.
Garzia has worked several camps as an instructor both locally and nationally, including the Wings Lacrosse Camp (2000-Present), Florida Possums Club (2008-Present) and the Nike Lacrosse Camp (2000-02).
Garzia has earned a number of awards during his coaching tenure, most recently receiving the George A. Kruse Memorial Award for sportsmanship from the KLOA officiating association in 2010. He was named runner-up for the Eastern PA State Lacrosse Association Coach of the Year in 2009.
Garzia is a graphic designer, owning and operating 20TWO Creative. He earned his associate degree in graphic design from Antonelli Institute in 2002.
Garzia is a native of Brookhaven, Pa. and currently resides in Wallingford, Pa.
